What information do we collect, how do we use them?

Personal Information

When you request for downloading the EZF software, we will ask for your name, affiliation and e-mail address. In addition, we record the IP address and the browser (e.g. Firefox, Chrome, IE, etc.) you used to visit our website. We use all the information described above to generate a unique download link for each request and that download link will be sent to the e-mail address you provided in the download page. However, the e-mail will only contain your name besides the download link.

Anonymous System Information

When the first time you start the EZF software, we anonymously collect and only collect the following information about your computer system: CPU, memory, operating system, MATLAB version, current EZF version. These information are collected for statistic purpose and will help us better understand the hardware requirements and software compatibility. Examples of the collected information are shown below:

We understand the importance of the safety of your personal information. We have implemented several security measures, from both the client side and the server side, to protect your personal information from unauthorized access.

We do not sell, trade or transfer your personal information (e.g. name, e-mail address, etc.) to any other party outside. However, we may release your information when appropriate to comply with the law.
